Breakthrough with Breakfast!

Breakthrough with Breakfast!

Few people know that missing your morning breakfast is a very foolish mistake. One obvious reason for it is getting up late in the morning and then skipping your breakfast while rushing towards your school or workplace. The presence of frustrated, irritated, confused, and hyper individuals in schools, universities, and offices might indicate low levels of blood sugar due to poor or no breakfast. Your brain needs sugar to be alert and focused and you get it from a healthy breakfast.

The school-going children even suffer more from lack of a good breakfast. They remain awake late in the night being busy watching TV or video gadgets and as a result, they cannot get early in the morning. Then they have much less time to prepare for school and take their breakfast calmly. If they eat too much at dinner, which is now very usual, then it is even more difficult to make a place for breakfast in the morning. Most children go to school without breakfast or take just a glass of milk or a piece of bread. Such children frequently experience fatigue, weak memory, lack of concentration, and sleepiness in the classroom. Needless to say, these things badly affect their educational progress. When such children feel hunger during school hours, they buy fast foods and other unhealthy stuff out of their pocket money. But this practice cannot compensate for a good breakfast and it actually exposes their health to more risks including nutritional deficiency. The increasing problems of dental decay in children are the result of excessive artificial sugar-made foods that they consume at the school canteen.

The adults are also not safe from the negative consequences of not having a full breakfast in the morning and then drinking too much tea and eating fast food at their offices. Such individuals get tired too early during the working hours and cannot meet the professional requirement of being efficient and hardworking. Not just they don’t get promotions, they also have unpleasant relations with their colleagues and bosses; both health and social life get at stake by just not having breakfast in the morning! So is breakfast a thing worthy to miss?

Inadequate sleep in children is a serious issue, as it negatively affects their educational and co-curriculum activities. An expert researcher on sleep-related disorders,  Carl E. Hunt,  from George Washington University School of Medicine, says, “Sweet and enough sleep is as important as a healthy diet for a growing kid.” But how to persuade children to sleep early and adequately? Here are few things you can do: 1)   Cut coffee at night  --- Discourage your child taking cola drinks after taking dinner. Keep an eye on his or her favorite street foods that may contain caffeine. 2)   Unplug your child from gadgets  ---  An hour before sleep time, do not allow your child to play video games or sitting before TV or computer. Rather persuade him towards more soft...

Eat Healthy, Stay Happy

Eat Healthy, Stay Happy   You would know the effects of a healthy diet on the physical body; a good diet promotes health and a bad one makes us sick. But do you know what we eat also affects our mental health and our emotions? It means our emotions not only respond to positive or negative situations but are also colored by the variety of foods we consume on daily basis. Latest medical research has been showing that our brains and nerves absorb the nutrients present in our daily diet more than any other organ of the body and we know our brains and nerves are the organs that regulate our emotional moods. Our brain absorbs three basic nutrients from the diet: 1) Vitamins and minerals 2) Enzymes and proteins 3) and Glucose. Hypo/Hyperglycemia and Our Moods A common reason of bipolar moods is low sugar levels in our blood. As the brain gets its energy from glucose, any sweet thing we eat does affect our mood swings. When we drink coffee or eat chocolate, it rapi...
